My Top 12...

Bands and artists with high voices! Whether it's because they're singing falsetta, have a naturally high singing voice, or can just hit notes so high that your ears can bleed, you've gotta admit, it's good to have a break from cookie monster growls once in a while. And note that I'm not putting any generic pop-punk bands on here, because there are so many of those bands that have singers with high voices that it's really nothing special. And yes, I had to choose 11, because the number 12 is underrated. (:

12. Michael Jackson.

Believe it or not, MJ was quite the stud back in the dizz-ay. And you can't help but wonder how he hits some of the high notes in some of his songs. Even if he is a creepy child mollestor, he can sing! And don't even bother denying it, no matter how creepy he is...nobody doesn't love his music. And if they claim not to, they have obviously never heard Beat It.

11. Anthrax

Or at least, some of their stuff...not the rap-metal stuff like Bring the Noise, where the vocals are anything but high. But in what I think is their better stuff, like Antisocial and Madhouse, he sounds great and hits some hella high notes.

10. Wolfmother

The vocals in this band are pretty damn good, and even though some songs have higher vocals than others, it's clear that he has a great voice.

9. Coheed & Cambria

This band is incredible. Not only can Claudio Sanchez hit ridiculous notes, but his hair has a mind of its own. I KNOW IT.

8. Rush

LOVE.

7. The Who

Even though this band has great songs where Roger Daltrey's lower vocals sing - for instance, Love Reign O'er Me, which is definitely one of my favorite Who songs - Pete Townshend's higher voice is great, and he could sing any song he wanted and make it sound pretty much godly.

6. The Beatles

Okay, so some of their songs' vocals aren't high at all, but regardless of what song it is, they're so good that they had to be on the list.

5. Iron Maiden

Do I honestly need to explain?! The notes that Bruce Dickinson can hit are freakin' insane!

4. Yes

You may think you've never heard this band, but I guarantee you've heard a song like Roundabout or Owner of a Lonely Heart at least once without realizing it. From the instrumentals to the vocals, they're incredible, and Jon Anderson's high, falsetta vocals are so out of place that they sound incredible.

3. Queen

NO EXPLAINATION NEEDED. THE END.

2. Led Zeppelin

So maybe Robert Plant's voice isn't anywhere near as high as Freddie Mercury's or Jon Anderson's, but it's still high, and it's still amazing, and I'm still obsessed with this band!

1. Guns N' Roses

These guys could go on either the lowest vocal list OR the highest vocal list. Axl can hit ridiculous notes, whether it's at the tippy top or the very bottom of the scale. Bottom line, he has the best range EVAR. <3

So I go hiking four times a week during break with my dad, and here's some pictures I took today! (:

Sorry they're not that great...I'm still kinda figuring out how my camera works, since I just got it two days ago. But maybe I'll take some better ones when it gets warmer and the snakes decide to come out...there's one specific place that they always go to. (;

I know that most likely, nobody is even going to read this, but I just have to get this out in the open.

I recently found out that a guy, Will, who's a grade above me (I know him pretty well, but I've never really gotten along with him...but he's my best friend's friend's friend. Does that make any sense? No? Well, that's completely beside the point.) Will has the most adorable little sister you'll ever see. She was in third grade, had red hair, freckles, and the cutest smile. Michelle had to get a liver transplant, and the operation seemed to have been a success, but they later found out that Michelle was in critical condition. She wasn't going to make it.

She was in a coma for a few weeks, and yesterday, she died. In third fucking grade.

Everyone's taken this really hard, whether they were close to Will or Michelle or not...I know I did. So just think...while you're probably thinking about what you want for Christmas and what friends you're having over for New Year's Eve, you need to realize how lucky you are that you have one thing that others don't - a family. Will and his parents will be spending Christmas without Michelle, and my heart goes out to them.

That's all...I just had to get that out to someone, since my friends and I are trying to avoid the subject since it's so sensetive to us.

Well, I recently discovered one thing - I hate school. Okay, so I discovered that a while ago. And for a long time, I thought it was hopeless, because not only am I unattractive, but no school = no job = no money = no life.

But then, I realized that there is, in fact, hope! I found three jobs that I could do with a little bit of training, and I could drop out of school on this Monday if I wanted to!

3. Hibachi Chef.

That's me, right there. Epic pwn.

2. Jewish Bottle Dancer.

I'm Jewish, I can learn to dance with a bottle on my head, and most of all, I know how to party! That's the kind of career I want...it's like a stripper, only you have to balance shit on your head and you don't have to be attractive.

1. The Pope.

I need to take latin in school, which is apparently a very important skill in life. And with that skill, I can either be a latin teacher or the pope. I think the world needs a change, so I plan on becoming the first Jewish, female, American pope.

I hope this has inspired you to look into some careers you might have never thought of! I'll meet you at the next Bat Mitzfa with a bottle on my head, or maybe even at your local hibachi joint. (:

Angry Rants Help Relieve Stress.

I have a nasty flu...just in time for Thanksgiving.

My parents say 'sleep it off' for EVERYTHING...I've probably been asleep for a full twenty four hours, and I don't know if I can possibly sleep any more for the rest of my life.

Currently sweating in places I didn't even know existed...I've tried taking a freezing cold shower and opening all the windows, but neither of them worked.

They're gonna have to feed me turkey through a tube this Thanksgiving.

...Angry rants may relieve stress, but unfortunately, they don't cure the flu.
